Observation of Dall’s sheep behaviour

Behavioural Study of Wild Dall’s Sheep

The second stage of this exercise is the observation of a large database of videos. You will need to have a clear idea of what you are analysing and for how many individuals before you start this. Will you let the video run in a continuous (real-time) study or will you be comprehensively analysing it for instance? This guide will help you develop a sound methodology for the exercise and help you with recording your data:

Measuring Behaviour Information Sheet

You will need to create a data set noting group size, number of each sex (if possible) and age classes and the time spent by individuals engaged in behaviour like grazing, vigilance or interactions with other sheep (this may vary depending on your approach). The data set you produce will form the basis for further study outside of this platform.
