Our Carbon Strategy
In light of results from the latest climate research (to which the university of Exeter contributed substantially), the University has declared a climate and environment emergency and is sector-leading within HE in its assessment of its carbon budget and in taking steps to reduce it. As part of this activity, the University’s newly-formed Climate Change Working Group has created a white paper that put forward a set of time-bound actions to tackle the university’s emissions. A significant element of the University’s carbon footprint is travel. The university is actively working with staff and its travel suppliers to encourage and facilitate sustainable travel. This platform represents one of the ways the University is tackling its Carbon Footprint, by bringing research from around the world to the fingertips of our students at home.
